Fund Raiser at Barnes and Noble
The weekend of October 10 to 12

Barnes and Noble at 829 State Street will donate a portion of their profit on those dates to Friends of the Library for their support of the Public Library. The more money taken in the higher the percentage of money will be donated.

There will be vouchers available at the store to use if you are interested in particiating in this. The Friends of the Library will also print a voucher in their coming Newsletter.

Book Club in a Bag

The Public Library now has Book Club in a Bag. It is a kit that contains at least 10 copies of a title plus discussion questions, information about the author, most everything that is needed by a Book Club in one place. For more information on this interesting addition go to the Library web site sblibrary.org, then click Book Clubs and then click Book Club in a bag.

Note: while you are on the Library Web Site, look at the new Santa Barbara Reads book selection: Housekeeping, a novel by Marilynne Robinson.
